District Announcement
Some of you may know this will be my last year as superintendent for the Canaseraga School District as I anticipate retiring at the end of June 2025. This is a very difficult step for me as I have LOVED my time working with our teachers/staff and our students. While I have not yet submitted my formal notice of retirement to the school board, we have had numerous conversations about my intentions. One of the obvious questions that arises is – what is the process for finding the district’s next superintendent?
With the Board’s permission, I wanted to share that they plan to have Mrs. Stacy Saglibene – GST BOCES District Superintendent – do the search for the next superintendent. While the complete timeline has not yet been established, the application and brochure should be available for the job posting around mid-November. The intention is to have someone begin on/around June 1, 2025, so there is time for some shadowing with me.
