FROM THE SHERIFF”S DEPT: Steuben County Sheriff Jim Allard reports that on February 6, 2025, deputies and investigators arrested Tabitha A. Belz, age 32, of Seneca Road, Hornell, New York, following an investigation of a reported robbery and assault in the Town of Dansville in September 2024. It is alleged that Ms. Belz forcibly stole property from another person, intentionally injured another person, illegally used and possessed a weapon, and acted in concert with at least two other people. Ms. Belz was charged with Assault in the First Degree, a Class B Felony, Gang Assault in the Second Degree, a class C Felony, Robbery in the First Degree, a class B Felony, Criminal Use of a Firearm in the First Degree, a class B Felony, Grand Larceny in the Fourth Degree, a class E Felony and Conspiracy in the Third Degree, a class E Felony. Ms. Belz was arraigned in the Centralized Arraignment Court and released on $5,000 bail.
