Possible Hartsville Law Suit Over Wind

May 6 2016

There’s a political ad in today’s Evening Tribune, paid for by a group called Citizens for Wind Power, the ad warns about a possible lawsuit that will happen if there is not a wind project in Hartsville.

The political ad says “enforcement of Hartsville’s exclusionary wind law number 2 has taken away landowners rights to profit from their property.”

The ad also compares wind opponents to supporters of eminent domain, and warns that that lawsuit could “bankrupt Hartsville”, and encourages people to attend the next Hartsville Town Hall meeting on May 11, 7pm at the Hartsville Town Garage.
